The Black Sea Fleet receives new boats
The Black Sea Fleet received two new large hydrographic boats, “Vladimir Kozitsky” and “Boris Slobodnik,” built at the Nizhny Novgorod Motor Ship shipbuilding enterprise.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The vessels have successfully passed the entire range of state tests and are ready for service in the Black Sea Fleet.
“During the implementation of the test program, the crews of the boats, together with representatives of the factory commissioning team, carried out a full check of the functioning of the life support systems and on-board equipment of the ships. In particular, maneuverability and speed tests were carried out, the operation of all units, systems, components, navigation and radio equipment of the boats was checked.
In the near future, after the State Reception Commission signs the acceptance certificates, by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, the boats will be included in the Black Sea Fleet,” the message says.
Let us remind you that Project 23040G boats are designed for high-precision surveying of the bottom topography and surveying navigational hazards at depths of up to 400 meters, surveying the bottom topography at a depth of up to two kilometers, capable of delivering personnel, carrying out rescue and search operations, and piloting submarines and large-capacity ships.
The Black Sea Fleet is regularly replenished with new ships and support vessels. Thus, Russian President Vladimir Putin pcontributed to the bookmark new landing ships in Kerch and announced the construction of two frigates and two new submarines that can be armed with hypersonic weapons.
The day before it was reported that the Project 22160 patrol ship "Pavel Derzhavin" conducts artillery firing and is preparing to join the Black Sea Fleet.
