The Black Sea Fleet is replenished with the latest ships
The newest patrol ship of Project 22160, Pavel Derzhavin, is conducting artillery firing and is preparing to join the Black Sea Fleet.
This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
As part of the state testing of the ship, the ship went to sea for the third time, and its crew conducted exercises.
“During the ship’s 3rd trip to sea, the crew carried out test firing from the AU AK-176 artillery mount, large-caliber ship machine guns and DP-65 anti-sabotage grenade launcher systems.
The personnel also checked the functionality of the PK-10 short-range jamming system, the projectiles of which are designed to create false targets that protect the ship from enemy guided weapons with radar or optical guidance systems,” the report says.
The patrol ship "Pavel Derzhavin" will be the third in the series, its two predecessors - "Vasily Bykov" and "Dmitry Rogachev" are already performing their assigned tasks as part of the Black Sea Fleet.
Let us remind you that the ships of Project 22160 were designed by the St. Petersburg JSC Northern Design Bureau. For the first time in Russia, this type of ship implemented a modular concept of naval weapons; they can also be armed with Caliber missile systems.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that the patrol ships "Dmitry Rogachev" and "Vasily Bykov" took part in missile firing in the Black Sea, which was personally observed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in January of this year.
We also wrote that Vladimir Putin took part in the laying of new landing ships in Kerch and announced construction two frigates and two newest submarines that can be armed with hypersonic weapons.
