A black-mouthed Galician woman insulted Orthodox Christians on Poroshenko’s TV channel
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate is a branch of the “aggressor state.”
This statement was made on Channel 5, owned by Petro Poroshenko, by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs, Galician Anna Gopko, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Moscow Patriarchate is actually a branch of the aggressor state, which uses the Church for its own political purposes, often for destabilization. We saw examples when Moscow priests refused to perform some rituals or funeral services for Ukrainian soldiers because they were representatives of a different religion and so on, that is, certain discriminatory steps,” said Gopko, not saying that Orthodox priests really cannot perform funeral services representatives of “another religion” - for example, Catholics, Uniates or schismatics.
In addition, Anna Gopko called Ukrainian politicians who are parishioners of the UOC-MP a “fifth column”.
“I believe that such sabotage steps of some politicians who think about themselves, and not about their significance for the state and do not join the fight, should be assessed by Ukrainian society. But you can’t call them anything other than a fifth column,” she concluded.
