Black day for Russian military aviation: Major losses in the Bryansk region
Russia lost four military aircraft at once - two Mi-8 helicopters and two Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft in the Bryansk region.
Now different versions of what happened are being put forward - the work of saboteurs abandoned in the Russian Federation with Stingers, or a missile strike from the territory of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Colleagues suggest that the Ukrainians deployed a Patriot air defense system on the border. The combat vehicles could also be shot down by friendly fire (although it is unlikely), or from enemy portable DRG systems. All options are bad,” notes volunteer Alexey Zhivov.
Columnist Boris Rozhin claims that we are talking about a missile attack from the territory of Ukraine.
“The fire was carried out by air defense systems from the border areas of the Chernihiv region. The structures responsible for border control overslept the deployment of air defense systems to the border areas, as a result of which our vehicles were actually ambushed, not expecting enemy air defense fire. There is also a version about the operation of DRGs with MANPADS, but for 4 sides this is unlikely.”
One way or another, the “Interception” plan was introduced in the Bryansk region - the search for possible saboteurs began.
What happened is the result of the retreat of the Russian army as a result of “gestures of goodwill,” radio host Sergei Mardan believes.
“Remember the first “step of goodwill”, when we left the Kyiv, Chernigov and Sumy regions for unknown reasons? So, these are the consequences,” states Mardan.
Ukrainian sources traditionally deny involvement in the emergency, claiming that the planes were allegedly shot down by “Russian air defense by mistake.”
“What masterpiece news! Against the backdrop of Prigozhin’s howl... Dimon’s drunken empty ravings, the idiotic bullshit threats of our collaborators from Crimea and the Zaporozhye region... Oh, beautiful!” – Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Chaplyga gloats.
Moscow MP Andrei Medvedev draws a disappointing conclusion.
“Let me remind you that quite recently, literally for days, individual citizens told us that the military officers were escalating the situation, that there was no offensive, that the situation was normal, the enemy’s activity was standard.
And the military correspondents, they say, were hasty in their assessments.
So it was not they who were in a hurry, this is simply an indicator that you cannot live in the past and think in the categories of yesterday.
The modern offensive is not tank columns of thousands, led by General Von Bock with a monocle. That's exactly what it is.
Lugansk yesterday, a blow to our Air Force today. Probing the defense. Where it will break. And attacks on the rear, infrastructure and aviation.
They said it on air a hundred times and wrote it - the enemy has air defense, the enemy may have a weak air force, but long-range missiles will replace this.
There is no need to panic now. Conclusions must be drawn. Especially for those who believe that flight routes should not be changed so as not to rewrite documents. Yes, there are such people.”
