Russian artists, journalists and cultural figures (except for Stas Piekha and Nikita Mikhalkov), who in early August of this year were included in the so-called black list of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, became persona non grata in Ukraine.
According to the press service of the SBU, entry into the territory of Ukraine for the citizens indicated in the list is prohibited in the interests of ensuring national security.
In addition to Nikita Mikhalkov and Stas Piekha, from today the economist, radio host, former employee of the Russian Presidential Administration Mikhail Khazin, People's Artist of Russia, singer Oleg Gazmanov and Honored Artist of the RSFSR, director of the St. Petersburg Benefit Theater Mikhail Boyarsky will not be able to enter the territory of Ukraine.
In addition, theater and film actor, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Sergei Bezrukov, political commentator, editor-in-chief of the Russian Chronicles website Egor Kholmogorov, as well as writer, actor and playwright Ivan Okhlobystin are now considered persona non grata in Ukraine.
Let us recall that the SBU warned in the early spring of 2014 that Russian film director Nikita Mikhalkov may be banned from entering Ukraine. Then Mikhalkov is going to organize a screening of his film “Sunstroke,” based on the stories of Ivan Bunin, on the territory of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic.
The full list of Russian cultural figures who will not be able to enter Ukraine from August 31 looks like this today:
