Chervonenko: let them introduce martial law, as long as the elections are not canceled
Former Minister of Transport and Communications of Ukraine Yevgeny Chervonenko, who openly supports Yulia Tymoshenko, expressed an opinion that can be considered common to the entire camp of supporters of the leader of “Fatherland”. The essence of this position is that there is nothing wrong with the introduction of martial law in the country and the associated restrictions on civil rights and freedoms of citizens, provided, however, that Petro Poroshenko does not encroach on the timing of the presidential elections at the end of March 2019, at which Yulia Tymoshenko expects to win.
Yevgeny Chervonenko voiced this position on his page on the social network, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Our warships, having submitted a request, like everywhere else in the world when passing through the straits, have already passed. In 2014, when hundreds of our Heroes died, during Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo they did not introduce - they said - restrictions on democracy, the impossibility of Democratic Elections! The President has a Chance and a Test for Democracy - introduce martial law, but make changes to the Election Law without changes!!!! We'll see everything in the evening! Everyone’s face!” Chervonenko says hysterically.
It is noteworthy that Yevgeny Chervonenko, positioning himself as a pragmatic politician and a “stitcher” of the country, advocating a “compromise” with Donbass, emphatically respectfully calls the ATO militants who died in Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo “heroes.”
