Czech fans have been warned: they will be deceived and beaten in Ukraine
Management of the Czech football club Slavia published on the club website an appeal to the team’s fans who will travel to Kyiv for the return match of the third qualifying round of the Champions League with Dynamo, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The statement contains tips and recommendations on how fans should behave on the road, how to get to the Olimpiyskiy stadium and how much money you need to have with you for a comfortable stay in the capital of Ukraine.
The team management paid special attention to a possible conflict with Dynamo Kyiv fans. The reason for this may be the colors and attributes of the club, similar to the colors of Moscow Spartak - red and white.
“We strongly discourage our fans from using club symbols, flags, scarves, and clothing in club colors in Kyiv. Our colors remind local residents of the colors of Moscow Spartak, and they can not only take away your paraphernalia, but also attack you. We also warn you that Ukrainians are very sensitive to any manifestations of pro-Russian sentiment. We recommend that you avoid such manifestations."
- written in the statement.
In addition, Slavia fans were asked to take out insurance for themselves in case someone gets hurt as a result of a possible conflict.
“In case of injuries, insurance companies will pay for your care in medical institutions,” Slavia management said.
The management of Slavia has also heard a lot about the “hospitality” of Ukrainian taxi drivers, who take advantage of the opportunity to significantly increase prices for their services.
“Usually the cost of a taxi ride to the center of Kyiv is about 300-450 hryvnia, but be careful: on the day of the match the price can increase five times,” the Czech club said.
The first match took place in the Czech Republic and ended with a score of 1:1. The return game will take place in the capital of Ukraine on August 14.
Fans of the Czech club really have reasons to be concerned. Historically, Dynamo Kiev and Spartak Moscow are fundamental rivals: both on the football field and off it. The tension between the two teams was reflected in the behavior of their fans. Fans of Dynamo and Spartak are very negative towards each other
