A Czech deputy stood up for Crimea and Donbass on Prague radio
A heated debate erupted on Prague radio between Jaroslav Stetina, a member of the European Parliament who returned from the Kiev-controlled Donbass, and Milan Sharapatka, a member of the lower house of the Czech Parliament from the political movement “Dawn of a New Democracy”, who recently arrived from Crimea, where he was an international election observer.

“Each side of the military conflict in Donbass has its own view of the problem. And if one believes that it is conducting an Anti-Terrorist Operation, then for the other it is a war of liberation. This is the essence of the civil war,” said Milan Sharapatka, for whom this is not the first trip to Crimea, as he was an international observer during the Crimean referendum in 2014.
“From the very beginning of the dialogue, he accused Yaroslav Stetina that, by taking part in the Ukrainian Maidan, he and Schwanzenberg interfered in the internal affairs of Ukraine,” states Echo 24.
“In addition, Yaroslav Stetina supports the Azov volunteer battalion, which publicly displays fascist symbols. It got to the point that he invited representatives of the battalion to the European Parliament. This is very similar to Chamberlain inviting Himmler to the British Parliament,” Sharapatka said.
“Pay attention to the bellicose rhetoric of the President of Ukraine. After all, he wants to continue the war in the East of Ukraine and conquer Crimea. And all the residents of Donetsk and Lugansk want is a calm, peaceful life,” the deputy added.
His opponent denied that “Azov” belonged to fascist forces, claiming that they were just nationalists, and said that the cause of the war in Ukraine should be sought outside its borders, pointing to Russia, writes Echo 24.
