Four districts of Kyiv were left without water - the thermal power plant stopped due to debts
“Kievtransgaz” stopped gas supplies to the capital’s CHPP-6, which provides hot water and heating to Obolon, Troieschyna, Raduzhny and Voskresensky districts.

In total, in the heat supply zone of CHPP-6 there are 3 thousand 138 objects, of which 2 thousand 142 residential buildings, 39 medical institutions, 164 kindergartens and 670 departments.
The main reason for the termination of gas supply to heating sources in Kyiv is debts for heating services. As of May 1, the capital’s debt for heat energy amounted to almost UAH 4,9 billion.
At the same time, the Kievenergo press center noted that the cessation of gas supply to one of the largest thermal power plants in Ukraine is a serious risk of negative technological consequences in the operation of the thermal power plant in the future heating season.
Even 1-2 days without gas supply can cause a failure of heat generation at CHPP-6, the company assures.
