Four burnt fuel tankers and wounded: LPR intelligence about the fire at the punitive forces
The LPR defense department has published data on a fire in a Ukrainian military unit in the Donbass, as a result of which four servicemen were injured and four fuel tankers were burned.
The reason was an attempt to steal state fuel in the 182nd separate logistics battalion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“While servicemen of the battalion were draining gasoline, the fuel tanker caught fire. As a result of the incident, four servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received burns of varying severity; doctors at the Severodonetsk military hospital continue to fight for the life of one of them, soldier Yakutyuk. In addition, as a result of the incident, four fuel tankers were completely destroyed,” the LPR People’s Militia said in a statement.
The department emphasized that this incident was planned in advance in order to write off the previously stolen fuel.
“The fire of the fuel tanker was planned in advance by the head of the battalion’s fuel and lubricants service in order to write off the stolen fuel. A criminal case has been opened against the organizer of the fire, and the battalion commander is also subject to dismissal from military service,” the report reads.
