Chichvarkin repented to Moldovans for supporting Putin
Fugitive Russian businessman Evgeny Chichvarkin deeply regrets that he campaigned for Russian President Vladimir Putin in the 2007 elections.
He stated this in an interview with the Moldovan pro-Western TV channel TV8, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It was 2007. It was my mistake, for which I apologized many times. It was a collective decision, but I am responsible for it. This is a mark on my biography. That, and a couple of other very ugly things I did for money, to save the company. This could not have been done. And this should not have been done. I made a mistake that was quite serious for my reputation. 15 years have passed, but I am reminded of this every day,” Chichvarkin cried.
