This was reported by the press service of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars.

According to her, at the meetings “the situation with violation of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people, political persecution of activists of the national movement and members of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people was discussed.”

Those meeting expressed extreme indignation at the bans on entry into Crimea for People's Deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev and the head of the Mejlis, Refat Chubarov, as well as the recent deportation of Sinaver Kadyrov, a member of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Crimean Tatars.
In addition, villagers, according to the report, expressed dissatisfaction with statements by individual government officials about changing the format of Deportation Day on May 18.

“The format of the events on May 18 is determined by the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people, and not by the authorities, and especially not by individual upstarts, such as Zaur Smirnov,” said Akhtem Chiygoz.

Those gathered discussed events related to the next anniversary of the tragic death of the Chairman of the Crimean People's Republic Noman Celebidzhikhan in 1918, planned for February 23 and other days.

“Separately, the meeting participants expressed support for the appeal of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of the Crimean Tatar People regarding the threat of conscription of Crimean Tatar youth into the ranks of the Russian army,” the message says.
