The first deputy chairman of the Mejlis, Nariman Jelal, announced this on his Facebook page.
“As soon as Akhtem Chyigoz’s wife Elmira Ablyalimova reported, without any order, Akhtem Chyigoz, who was in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center, was transferred to a punishment cell, in response to which he went on a hunger strike,” he wrote.
In his opinion, those brought to justice “in the case of February 26” are forced to testify against Chiygoz.
“If previously there were no willing participants, today 1-2 “witnesses” were found,” noted the first deputy chairman of the Mejlis.
Let us remind you that Akhtem Chiygoz was detained on January 29, and subsequently arrested by the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol for two months. The arrest was then extended until May 19.
In Simferopol, during the riots on February 26, 2014, after supporters of the Majlis and Ukrainian nationalists used military gas during a stampede near the Crimean Armed Forces, Simferopol residents Igor Postny and Valentina Koreneva were killed.
