The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, told reporters about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Umerov, being the head of the Bakhchisaray district administration in 2014, called Putin his president.
“These comrades, who present themselves as heroes, show Ukrainian passports, all at one time were among the first to run, received Russian passports, received Russian citizenship, and enjoyed the social support of the Russian state. Mr. Chiygoz generally, as an ultimatum, presented the appointment of his wife as director of the Khan’s palace. Everyone was bargaining, I don’t remember anyone speaking out as an ardent defender of the rights of their people.
It was mostly business. Let them hand over their Russian passport, because when you had to go for money, for social benefits - that’s all, a Russian passport is a pride, now, as soon as they stand there, immediately the heroes of Ukraine are sitting there with Poroshenko, They are shaking Ukrainian passports,” added the head of the republic.
