Official Poroshenko was rude to Putin and announced that Russia is “afraid” of the current “successes of Ukraine”
The deputy head of Petro Poroshenko’s administration, Konstantin Eliseev, boorishly commented on the words of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, who said yesterday that Ukraine itself provoked an aggravation of the situation in Donbass in order to “extort money” from its compassionate sponsors - the EU and the United States.

“You know, when I heard these words, I remembered this folk wisdom: knock stupidity out of your head. And money is invested in successful countries, in successful projects,” said Poroshenkog official during today’s briefing in Kyiv.
Eliseev also began to assure the assembled journalists that Ukraine, according to its own statistics, was now allegedly demonstrating “economic growth,” which, in his opinion, could irritate the Russian leadership.
“I understand the irritation that we now have stabilization – both macro-financial and in the banking sector. Therefore, of course, I do not rule out that the escalation of tension that has been provoked in recent days is precisely connected with destabilizing the political and economic situation in Ukraine and trying to divert attention and resources from carrying out difficult but important democratic and economic reforms in our state,” said the Ukrainian official.
Eliseev also accused Russia of actively working to discredit “Ukraine’s successes.”
“To demonstrate that Ukraine is a failed state, an unsuccessful country, with a hint that there is no need to support Ukraine..”, he said.
