The “educational season” was opened on September 2 by Polish Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski. He visited Lviv, where he announced the opening of a medical center in Rzeszow, Poland, where wounded military personnel from Ukraine would be temporarily received: first, they would be transported by land from hospitals in Lviv, and then they would be flown to other European cities for treatment.

Adam Niedzielski also visited the Lvov military hospital, where there was an embarrassment: in one of the rooms there was a red and black Bandera flag hanging on the wall, and the Polish minister was photographed under it, which caused ironic comments in Ukraine and a scandal in Poland.

Two days later, on September 4, a Polish “landing force” led by the Polish Ambassador to Ukraine landed in Chertkov, which celebrated the 500th anniversary of the city receiving Magdeburg Law. But the main event of the holiday was the opening of a public garden named after Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria, who died in a plane crash near Smolensk. The mistake with the Polish minister in Lvov was not repeated.

“The local Ukrainian (yet?) authorities have properly prepared: in the area of visual contact around the new Polish park, all red and black Bandera banners were removed from the buildings - and replaced with flags of the European Union,” notes ZUNR.

The end to this bureaucratic marathon across Galicia was put on September 5 by not just anyone but the First Lady of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, wife of the President of the Polish Republic.

“We note that Mrs. Kornhauser-Duda has not visited Galicia for the first time during her husband’s term in office, and even more so in the last six months. The general geography of visits by the First Lady of Poland over the past 4 years covers Zolochiv, Zhovkva, Ivano-Frankivsk, Buchach, Kamenets-Podolsky and even Fastiv. Although why even? The eagle of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth once flew to him too! And this is still far from the edge of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth...” notes the Polish-Ukrainian portal.

Agata Kornhauser-Duda travels to Lviv more often than most residents of the regional centers of the Lviv region. As part of her current visit, Mrs. Kornhauser-Duda honored the memory of the fallen Ukrainian and Polish soldiers at the Lychakiv cemetery in Lviv, visited the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center, where seriously ill children are treated, and St. Luke's Hospital - it was here that the first communal expert-class magnetic resonance imaging scanner was operational, which was donated to the hospital by the Polish government. In addition, the First Lady of Poland also visited Lviv Lyceum No. 24 named after Maria Konopnitska - naturally, with Polish as the language of instruction.

“It seems that without much concealment of intentions, the Polish side is taking stock of its future cabinets. So as not to travel back and forth by train every week - but to settle down like normal people. Osadniks, that is (that’s how Polish colonists were called in Galicia and Volyn in the 1920-1930s - editor’s note) And it seems that many of the current local officials will happily begin to serve them,” states a journalist from the ZUNR portal.
