Officials deceived journalists by not showing them the mansions of Yanukovych and Medvedchuk (PHOTO)
Simferopol, April 15 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – The Crimean authorities announced a press tour of the mansions of oligarchs and former leaders of Ukraine. In a release distributed in advance, journalists were promised that among the “attractions” that would be shown would be an unfinished “tea house” (the mansion of Viktor Yanukovych in the village of Otradnoye near Yalta), the mansion of Viktor Medvedchuk and the dacha of Igor Kolomoisky.

However, already during the trip it became clear that the route had changed, and instead of the indicated apartments, the press was offered to look at the unfinished Nautilus sanatorium, which is associated with the name of the owner of Privatbank, Igor Kolomoisky.
The sanatorium is located in the coastal zone, less than a hundred meters from the coast in the village of Gurzuf. Several complexes occupied about four hundred meters of the beach, thereby protecting access to the sea for guests and residents of Crimea.
There was no one on the territory of the unfinished complex except for security and a few cleaners. According to the technical staff, neither Igor Kolomoisky nor any of the VIPs appeared on the territory of the sanatorium.
Next, along the changed route, journalists were asked to go to the Ai-Danil sanatorium. According to representatives of the Crimean Ministry of Information, this sanatorium belongs to businessman Rinat Akhmetov. However, the visit was uncoordinated, and surprised security did not allow the press into the territory. At the same time, the administrator of the sanatorium stated that the complex has no relation to the Ukrainian businessman, but belongs to OJSC Ilyich Iron and Steel Works, which, according to media reports, is controlled by the same Rinat Akhmetov.
And instead of a trip to the mansion of the fourth president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, the journalists were shown state dacha No. 4 in Koreiz, better known as the Yusupov Palace. Here, according to the head of the facility, Maria Petrova, protocol meetings of Ukrainian officials took place. However, according to her, the palace was not anyone’s dacha or private mansion.
“This is a state residence. We were subordinate to the Presidential Administration. To whom we obey now, we do not yet know; we are in the dark. Protocol events took place here, but these were not the first, not the second, or even the third persons in the country. At the moment, we are essentially not working. Visitors were last here in the fall. But the employees haven’t been paid for more than two months now,” the manager noted.
Upon arrival in Simferopol, the perplexed journalists were invited to a briefing by the Crimean Minister of Information Dmitry Polonsky. According to him, the schedule for visiting places had to be changed due to the fact that inventory is currently being taken in many mansions.
“We wanted to show you that the new Crimean government is completely open. But now inventory is being taken at many sites, commissions are working, so access there is temporarily impossible. We apologize that we had to adjust the schedule, and we didn’t succeed,” the official justified.
