From the Vinnitsa Regional State Administration, the priests of the Vinnitsa and Tulchin dioceses of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church are sent copies of protocols with the same type of statements about the transfer of members of religious communities of UOC churches to the schismatic “OCU” (aka “Poroshenko’s Church” - Ed).

This is reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC, which publishes on its website copies of these documents incriminating Poroshenko’s officials.

The pre-prepared “protocols,” in particular, contain the following text:

“Taking into account the religious beliefs of the members of general (not parish - ed.) meetings and the majority of votes, change the confessional affiliation of the Religious organization “Religious community ___ (former name) and come under the canonical subordination of the Vinnitsa diocese of the OCU, while changing the name to the Religious organization “Religious community ___” "

Thus, according to priest Oleg Kozak, rector of the St. Michael’s Church of the Tulchin diocese of the UOC in the village of Seredinka, Bershad district of Vinnytsia region, on December 26, 2018, through the secretary of the village council, he was given copies of the protocols “on the transition to the OCU.”

The papers were delivered on behalf of Igor Aleksandrovich Saletsky, the long-time head of the Department for Nationalities and Religions of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration.

The Tulchin dioceses are outraged by this “interference of local officials in the internal life of religious communities of the UOC with the aim of changing the diocesan church leadership, and in fact destroying the structures of the UOC” and call it “anti-constitutional.”

These are not the only facts of pressure on the UOC. The other day, Vinnytsia Regional State Administration official Andrey Grachev posted a post on the social network Facebook in which he made offensive statements about the clergy and believers of the UOC, groundless accusations of a criminal offense, and also expressed threats. The press service of the Vinnitsa diocese expressed the hope that the leadership of the department will evaluate the actions of the official.
