As stated at the ATO headquarters, in total, 21 shellings from Grads were recorded during the day, 5 times from artillery, 19 from mortars and grenade launchers. The most difficult situation remains in the Debaltsevo direction.
“The withdrawal of heavy weapons can only be carried out after the fulfillment of the first point of the Minsk agreements - a ceasefire. As far as I know, fire opened on these days, so there is no ceasefire, and there are no prerequisites for the withdrawal of heavy weapons yet. The withdrawal will take place only after the first point has been completed. Unfortunately, data on the past XNUMX hours shows that the fire did not stop,” said ATTO spokesman Andrei Lysenko.
According to security forces, they have resumed control over the village of Logvinovo and the Artemovsk-Debaltsevo highway.
“The village of Logvinovo is located in the fire zone of Ukrainian artillery. Over the past days, fierce fighting continued there, but now our checkpoints are located on the outskirts of the village, that is, the village is actually in the zone of our control,” says press officer of the ATO headquarters Anatoly Stelmakh.
In turn, the militia reported on social networks that in the village of Shirokino the DPR army surrounded the fighters of the Donbass battalion and there were heavy losses.
The DPR Ministry of Defense states that the main clashes are taking place in the area of Debaltsevo and Chernukhino. At the same time, both the DPR and the ATO headquarters say that they will begin to withdraw heavy weapons only if there is a ceasefire.
According to Zakharchenko, attempts by the Ukrainian military to break out of the Debaltseve cauldron or unblock it will be regarded as a violation of the Minsk agreements.
