Let us remind you that the Kiev Court of Appeal considered the complaint of Yuriy Ivanyushchenko’s lawyers and recognized as unreliable the statements of Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Leshchenko, voiced live on the “Shuster Live” program, obliging him to refute slanderous insinuations about Yuriy Ivanyushchenko’s involvement in the delivery of “titushki” during the Euromaidan, as well as to theft in the state corporation “Ukrspirt”. On November 30 last year, the Kiev Court of Appeal decided to satisfy Ivanyushchenko’s claim against Sergei Leshchenko for the protection of honor and dignity.
In addition, Ivanyushchenko’s claims against the editor-in-chief of the portal “Censor.NET” Yuri Butusov for the protection of honor were also satisfied by the Kyiv Court of Appeal on January 18 of this year.
Moreover, the court, held on January 26 of this year, decided to uphold the decision of the Solomensky District Court of January 27, 2016, which made a positive decision in the case of the inaction of the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Stolyarchuk at the stage of the pre-trial investigation. As you know, the latest decision of the Supreme Court panel cannot be appealed.
The next day, January 27 of this year, the judicial panel of the Chamber of the Supreme Court for Criminal Cases of Ukraine decided to satisfy the complaint of Yuriy Ivanyushchenko on charges of inaction at the stage of pre-trial investigation of the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The court also decided to refuse to allow the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine to begin proceedings against Yuriy Ivanyushchenko. That is, the decision of the Deputy Prosecutor General to open a case against Ivanyushchenko was rejected by the court.
In addition, Ivanyushchenko was removed from the EU sanctions list. An entry in the official journal of the European Union - Eur-Lex - states: to exclude Yuri Ivanyushchenko from the sanctions list.
