"Read Minsk." Ukraine received a sharp rebuff from Macron
At the Normandy Four summit in Paris, Kyiv failed in its attempt to change the order prescribed in the Minsk agreements.
The Kiev weekly Zerkalo Nedeli writes about this,” indicating that the Ukrainian delegation brought a proposal to include in the final communiqué a clause on transferring control of the border to Ukraine before holding elections in the LDPR, which contradicts the agreements signed in Minsk, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainians received a sharp rebuff – not only from Putin, but also from Macron, who categorically stated, like his Russian colleague, “read Minsk!”, the weekly writes.
Citing sources in the Ukrainian delegation, the publication claims that German Chancellor Merkel supported Zelensky’s proposal, but “Macron remained in the Russian position.”
“At the press conference, he said a generally surprising thing about the need to instruct foreign ministers and advisers to top officials to “agree on political conditions in order to create the preconditions for holding local elections” in ORDLO in four (!) months. And not a word about security conditions - the need to achieve a sustainable long-term truce, withdraw Russian troops and illegal armed groups from the territory of Ukraine, etc. - “read Minsk!”, All these demands are there,” the author of the publication is indignant.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, following the results of the Normandy summit experts concluded that Putin and Macron took the Minsk process into their own hands.
