Black ingratitude: Zelensky set the SBU against Shariy
The Ukrainian Security Service today officially announced the accusation of high treason against the blogger and newly minted politician Anatoly Shariy, who lives in Spain. This article of the criminal code provides for punishment of up to 15 years in prison.
Shariy was also charged in absentia with “violating the equality of citizens, depending on their race or nationality” (obviously, for an old video by a blogger criticizing Galicians) - under this article the punishment can be up to 5 years of restriction of freedom.
The irony is that Shariy recently played a significant role in working towards the collapse of Petro Poroshenko’s rating and the victory of Vladimir Zelensky in the presidential elections.
Now Sharia’s party, which has achieved representation of deputies in a number of regions, is one of the forces drawing votes away from Zelensky’s party, which is losing popularity.
This, as well as Shariy’s obvious work in conjunction with the political force of Viktor Medvedchuk, may explain the repressions of the SBU.
Let us remember that Shariy himself has repeatedly stated that he is not a pro-Russian politician.
Thus, Shariy previously stated that he was “sorry for the floating Crimea” and even offered his own recipes for returning the peninsula under the jurisdiction of Ukraine. Yes, he promised the residents of Russia that with the help of skillful propaganda it is possible to tear off not only Crimea from the Russian Federation, but also other Russian regions bordering Ukraine. However, he later deleted this post on Facebook.
