“We clearly emphasize”: Russian Railways does not satisfy its personnel shortage with migrants
The Russian railway is experiencing a personnel shortage, because its employees are being lured away due to their high qualifications.
Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways OJSC Oleg Belozerov stated this, speaking today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Somewhere we come across territories where the work of defense enterprises has been resumed. Somewhere, out of responsibility, our colleagues are actively going to restore new Russian territories. Therefore, we have certain issues with personnel,” Belozerov said.
At the same time, he especially emphasized that Russian Railways does not attract migrant workers.
“We don’t have such a program. I would like to clearly emphasize this. We have always relied on the Russians,” Belozerov said.
According to him, 3400 people from friendly Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan were recruited only for construction work at the Eastern training ground. The total number of workers there is 30 thousand.
