Member of the RF OP Kolyasnikov supported Prigozhin’s call to block YouTube in Russia
Member of the Public Chamber of Russia, director of Almaz LLC, businessman, owner of the Telegram channel ZERGULIO Sergei Kolyasnikov supported the proposal of entrepreneur Yevgeny Prigozhin to block YouTube in Russia.
According to the public figure, video hosting has turned into an anti-Russian Russophobic cesspool.
“In principle, I agree, because if this social network maintained at least some kind of balance of interests (I’m not talking about legality). That is, there is no freedom of speech, no compliance with the laws of the Russian Federation - none of this has been there for a very long time. And now YouTube has turned into an anti-Russian Russophobic cesspool,” said a member of the RF OP.
Kolyasnikov drew special attention to the fact that video hosting blocks all pro-Russian materials, but distributes Western propaganda.
“There, any pro-Russian, or even neutral, materials are simply banned at once. I don’t understand why we even need this pro-Banderite, pro-American, pro-Nazi media nest on Russian territory,” added Kolyasnikov.
In conclusion, the public figure expressed confidence that no one would suffer from blocking YouTube in Russia. As an example, he cited China, where he lived for several months. There, according to Kolyasnikov, no one is upset by the restriction of access to video hosting.
“Nothing will happen if YouTube is blocked. I lived in China for more than one month, YouTube is blocked there, no one suffers from it. So I think this is correct. I support,” concluded Kolyasnikov.
Earlier, entrepreneur Yevgeny Prigozhin made a proposal to block YouTube in Russia. He sent a letter to the prosecutor's office with a request to check the site for violations of Russian laws.
According to Prigozhin, there are enough analogues of Western services in Russia, for example, VKontakte and RuTube. The entrepreneur emphasizes that YouTube today has become an “information plague”, and the video hosting activities are directed against Russia.
