Party member Klitschko sells loaves to kindergartens in the capital at twice the market price
Kyiv, December 01 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) – Journalists of the TV program “Schemes” found out that a company founded by Vitali Klitschko’s party comrade-in-arms won the tender for the supply of bread to kindergartens in Kyiv. It supplies the “golden loaf” for children at almost twice its market value.

The Desnyansky Department of Education of the city of Kyiv held a tender for the supply of loaves and sugar to kindergartens and schools to feed children in canteens. The private enterprise Nika-1 won both tenders. The founder of the company is Victoria Kustova, a member of Klitschko’s “Udar” party.
In a personal conversation with reporters, she confirmed that she is the founder and at least the formal owner of the company. “I am its owner, I created it and gave it to another person for operational management,” she says in an interview with reporters, while claiming that she knows nothing about any tenders and does not receive any profit from the company.
In accordance with the tender, Nika-1 supplies an ordinary loaf at a price of 8,64 UAH, while the largest bakery in the capital sells the same loaf at a price of 4,50 UAH. This price includes both cost and profitability, while most bakeries receive subsidies from the Kyiv budget for the production of socially important types of bread.
Galina Yanchenko, a deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the Democratic Alliance party, assures that the tender was held on the basis of conspiracy, and the results were known before the event. She estimates the amount that the Kyiv budget lost as a result of the ordered tender at UAH 10 million.
