A member of Putin’s council is confident that Zelensky will manage without Donbass
Ukraine, under the new government of President Vladimir Zelensky, has remained as nationalistic as it was before him.
The return of Donbass to such a country is impossible and dangerous.
Bogdan Bezpalko, a member of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation, stated this on radio Vesti, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert emphasized that under the current government there is no need to expect any special detente in relations.
“In the end, what we come to is the fact that in Ukraine there is still a force in power that either uses or is itself partly ideologically right-wing.
Secondly, the return of Donbass to such a Ukraine is most likely unnecessary and, in principle, dangerous.
And thirdly, that in relations with Russia, perhaps we can hope for very slight symptoms of relief in our relations.
Well, the detainees were exchanged, maybe there will be another exchange. Maybe they will restore air traffic with Ukraine.
That is, by and large, nothing has changed. Well, little has changed, very little,” Bezpalko summed up.
