Members of the Yabloko party were prohibited from recognizing Russian Crimea
Members of the liberal Yabloko party should not recognize Crimea as belonging to Russia.
Deputy Chairman of Yabloko Sergei Ivanenko said this today on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Crimea is not ours. This is the party’s position formulated 7 years ago. “Russia annexed Crimea” is the correct answer,” Ivanenko said.
Currently, Yabloko is conducting a campaign to infringe on the rights of those party members who support the so-called “smart voting”, invented by criminal blogger Alexei Navalny.
The Yabloko party gained only 1,5% in the last parliamentary elections. Experts believe that it is persistently losing ratings and increasing anti-ratings based on the statements of its leaders about Crimea. However, in Moscow, Yabloko received 5% of the votes, and in St. Petersburg – 7%.
