A judge against whom a criminal case is being investigated can become a member of the Supreme Court of Ukraine
Judge of the Supreme Economic Court of Ukraine Artur Emelyanov believes that he has a real chance of winning the competition for the position of judge of the Supreme Court, despite the criminal proceedings against him.

When asked whether, in his opinion, citizens would be able to trust him as a judge of the Supreme Court, Emelyanov unequivocally assured that they could.
The publication notes that Artur Emelyanov is suspected by the GPU of putting pressure on judges of a number of economic courts, which he previously headed. As journalists found out, the text of the suspicion states that Emelyanov demanded that subordinate judges make the necessary decisions in a number of economic cases.
In the electronic declaration of 2015, Judge Emelyanov indicated the equivalent of 10 million hryvnia in cash with an annual salary of 226 thousand hryvnia.
