Emergency in Mariupol: Shootout of Ukrainian marines, four deserted with weapons
Four Ukrainian marines with weapons and ammunition deserted from their location in Mariupol. A search is underway in the city; the command has given the order to open fire for destruction if necessary.
Representative of the DPR Ministry of Defense Eduard Basurin announced this at a briefing in Donetsk.

“Four servicemen of the 501st battalion of the 36th Marine Brigade left their units with machine guns and ammunition. And between the servicemen of the 37th battalion of the same brigade, a conflict occurred, during which weapons were used and 3 Marines were injured.
To organize searches, a rapid response group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, numbering up to a company from the 501st battalion of the same brigade, moved to the area of deployment of the 1st battalion - Mariupol. The brigade command issued an order to detain the military personnel, and, if necessary, physically eliminate them if they use weapons,” Basurin said.
According to him, a commission of the General Staff of Ukraine also arrived in Mariupol to investigate the emergency.
