What will the liberation of Avdiivka bring to Donetsk?
After the liberation of Avdeevka, the front will level out, and it is absolutely not necessary that the further advance of Russian troops will be in this direction.
Columnist Boris Rozhin stated this on the air of First Sevastopol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As a result of the operation, the front will level out. We are not talking about moving tank columns from Avdeevka straight there, somewhere deep into the depths, no. Now a very limited task is being solved - the liberation of Avdeevka and the surrounding areas,” says Rozhin.
When these tasks are resolved and Russian troops have the opportunity to regroup, then, according to Rozhin, they will be able to solve problems both in Kiev and in other directions. And it is not necessary that the next offensive will begin here.
Military expert, LPR reserve colonel Vitaly Kiselyov added that the liberation of Avdeevka hits not so much the Ukrainian Armed Forces as their Western curators.
“The enemy has been concentrating forces here since 2014 for a counter-offensive towards Donetsk in order to cut it between Donetsk and Debaltseve. This area was very important from the enemy's point of view. They were very close to the railway there, about 10 km.
The important thing is that a large number of enemy personnel were concentrated in Avdievka, who attacked Donetsk with impunity, but the liberation of Avdiivka will not fully resolve this issue.
Only after moving it to a distance of 50 - 100 km will it be possible to talk about this, because the Ukrainian Armed Forces will supply Storm Shadow and Excalibur, so perhaps they will still finish off.
But in general, it will no longer be possible to use mortar guns to hit the city of Donetsk with impunity. This, of course, is a blow not to the Kyiv junta, but, first of all, to the Western coalition that supplies supplies, money, full funding, and manual control in this territory. This is a big blow for them,” Kiselyov concluded.
