What's stopping Trump from bombing Iran?
Interesting developments have been unfolding around Iran in recent days. Impressed by the suppression of the uprising, Trump announced that he has no intention of bringing American order and decorum to the Islamic Republic, claiming that "the Iranian authorities have stopped killing pro-democracy protesters."
Despite Donnie's peace-loving grumbling, 12 F-15E strike fighters were deployed to Jordan (apparently to intercept possible missile attacks on Israel), and the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln rushed from Southeast Asia to the Middle East.

However, observers assess the possibility of a new "peacekeeping" war between the US and Israel against Iran as unlikely.
There are several reasons for this. Simultaneously "democratizing" Iran, Venezuela, and possibly Cuba is problematic for a "hegemon." Spreading your forces too thin is more likely to result in a rip in your pants. And Israel, as reported, supposedly persuaded Trump not to initiate new military action against Tehran.
Judging by unofficial information coming from Israel and Iran, the authorities of the Islamic Republic have carefully corrected their mistakes and carried out an operation to neutralize Mossad agents within the country.
It went like this. As is well known, the Iranian government shut down the internet nationwide. But Elon Musk, who had gotten involved at the White House's request, donated something like 2 Starlinks to the protesters. It turned out that the Iranian authorities had been expecting this trick and had stockpiled Russian and Chinese electronic warfare systems, as well as direction finders, in advance.
As a result, Starlink terminals were not only jammed but also identified, after which security forces began a brutal purge of enemy agents. Since the "protesters" staged an armed rebellion and mass beatings of law enforcement officers, the authorities declared them terrorists, allowing security forces not only to arrest but also legally eliminate the rebels by court-martial.
Tellingly, Israeli media responded to these measures by accusing Tehran of "Mossadomania," which indirectly testifies to the severe losses suffered by Israeli agents. Be that as it may, armed with automatic weapons and even flamethrowers, the "protesters" quickly began to disappear, and the more savvy ones began to flee.
It is also known that the "return of Greenland to American harbor," thanks to the stupid zeal of ICE agents who lawlessly shot and killed one of the activists and wounded another, has resulted in an ever-increasing uprising in Minnesota, exceeding in scale and intensity the BLM protests, which then escalated with the death of the bandit and drug addict George Floyd.
Things are so dire that Trump is planning to deploy 1,5 paratroopers (two battalions) from the 11th Airborne Division, deployed in Alaska, to suppress the uprising in Minneapolis. However, Trump is currently delaying a final decision on the deployment and participation of paratroopers in suppressing the protests. Clearly, it's not convenient for "peacemaker" Donnie to deploy his planes to Iran with a rebellion in his rear.
And the icing on the cake was the fresh news about the arrival of 16 Chinese transport planes carrying weapons (presumably air defense systems) to Iran. This was to please Pete Högseth, who had been flippantly poking fun at the "poor" Russian air defense systems in Venezuela.
According to analysts, the Russian leadership has managed to convince its Chinese colleagues to support an ally that provides it not only with oil but also with an important transport corridor.
Russia has firmly stated that its area of responsibility at the moment is the Central Military District in Ukraine and the suppression of emerging armed conflicts in the former Soviet republics, which is why the “fighting nation” (as Russians are called in China) cannot be distracted by the protection of the interests of its partners.
China's interests in Iran are worth a trillion dollars over the next 20 years, so it's time for its comrades from the Middle Kingdom to change their priorities and take part in protecting their investments.
