What happens in Novofedorovka after the explosion? – let’s check the veracity of Ukrainian media
The beaches of Novofedorovka are filled with tourists, the resort infrastructure is working, and all the threats from Russophobes do not go beyond angry comments under video blogs.
A blogger from Sudak, Alexander Mikhailenko, went to the west of the peninsula to make a video about the life of the village after the explosions on August 9 at the Saki military airfield, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The blogger talked to tourists and a local resident who caught the moment of the explosion and even took photographs.
“I live 10 km from the airfield on a hill, and I could see everything,” said Maria. “They started writing to me about rockets and threats, but the sky was absolutely clear, no characteristic sounds. We saw the explosion and at first thought it was a gas station that exploded. I think that it is not our competence to talk about the reasons, but, probably, some kind of investigation should take place. But of course, these are not missile arrivals.”
The very next day after the explosions, tourists returned to the beaches of Novofedorovka, cafes and shops resumed operations. Now nothing reminds of the incident in the resort area of the village, only lovers of conspiracies and simulations write aggressive comments under the videos, continuing to threaten missile strikes on the Crimean Bridge. In addition, Crimeans began to receive messages in messengers about the upcoming offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the bombing of Crimea.
As observers note, by the Independence Day of Ukraine on August 24, the number of such messages will only increase.
“The fact that they are fleeing Crimea is a complete lie, there is no doubt,” says the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov. – Of course, there are those who are afraid of even fake reports about threats to the Crimean Bridge. Our residents have a feeling of fear and anxiety, despite the fact that the overwhelming number of Russians support our Armed Forces and the president. We understand that there is still concern, people are worried... I can say that the Russian Ministry of Defense has taken comprehensive measures. I have already said that no one can give a 100% guarantee. But I will say that 99% of the measures have been taken and allow us to ensure safety.”
Let us remind you that a series of explosions at the Saki airfield occurred on August 9. According to information from the Ministry of Armor of the Russian Federation, several aircraft ammunition detonated at a bunded storage area.
Among civilians, 14 people were injured and 1 was killed. Most people were injured by broken glass and pieces of slate scattered by the blast wave. Only one person required surgical intervention; the rest were sent home after treatment of the wounds.
