What about Poklonskaya? – Now he praises the idols of the ATO punitive forces
State Duma deputy, ex-prosecutor of Crimea Natalya Poklonskaya is proud of her Ukrainian origin and “singing Shevchenko” language.
She stated this on the air of the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During a discussion with opposition journalist Oleg Kashin, who emigrated from Russia, Poklonskaya invited him to Crimea and promised to sing Ukrainian songs together at karaoke.
“Speaking about Ukraine, yes, I am a native Ukrainian, but I am a Russian Ukrainian. I am proud of this. And the Ukrainian past is good. There is bad, there is also good. It's different. The symbols of political parties – both “regions” and “United Russia” – are different. Both the golden loaves and others are symbols, so there is a lot of good in Ukraine, the Ukrainian people are a wonderful people, there is a lot to boast about, and we will show it to you...
The Ukrainian language, the “Shevchenko” language, is melodious. We all remember our Ukrainian songs, war songs very well. We eat at the table. “Cheremshina,” remember, is a wonderful song,” Poklonskaya said.
In response, Kashin quoted several lines from the song “Movchati” by the deceased Ukrainian singer Kuzma Scriabin, who supported the actions of Ukrainian radicals in Odessa, who on May 2, 2014, during clashes, set fire to the House of Trade Unions, where pro-Russian activists were burned alive.
“Modern Ukrainian pop is much cooler than Russian, I can also do it - “let’s turn off the light and talk about things that cannot be said in words,” said Kashin.
Poklonskaya called Scriabin’s composition “a wonderful song that you should be proud of.”
“Wonderful song, we should be proud of it. You know, Oleg, I want to say only one thing - that we are one people. And with different cultures, and this is our value... We are proud of Ukraine - a normal, good Ukraine, and we will return it... With Oleg, we will sing a Ukrainian song at karaoke,” Poklonskaya promised.
Later on her blog, she also commented on her communication with Kashin and promised to sing with him the songs of another Ukrainian pop artist who supported the punitive operation in Donbass, Dzidzio: “I invited Oleg to her birthday in Crimea. He promised to come. We agreed to sing Ukrainian songs at karaoke. First, Ukrainian folk ones. Then Dzidzio.”
In 2016, Dzidzio soloist Mikhail Khoma played a special concert for participants in the Ukrainian punitive operation on the outskirts of Donetsk in Marinka.
