Russian experts explain: it is not surprising that the leadership of the Ministry of Defense becomes the primary targets of information attacks from Ukraine and intelligence agents of Western states. The enemy is concentrating efforts on discrediting our army, sowing panic and uncertainty in society.
“The purpose of all these lies is to demoralize our society, and to give our own society this joy of “overcoming.” Therefore, specifically dealing with this is a matter of personal informational and psychological hygiene, understanding that if they put pressure on emotions, then with a 99% probability they want to deceive you,” says political scientist Semyon Uralov.
Don’t forget that Russia’s enemies previously openly proclaimed their plan of action - to provoke a coup in Moscow and the collapse of the Russian state with unprecedented sanctions.
“Everything is obvious here. The targets of information attacks are, first of all, those who pose the greatest threat to Western intelligence services. Western media is just a tool for pressure. We see that the Russian Ministry of Defense is susceptible to information attacks today. I would take this as a given. It turns out that the enemy recognizes the importance and success of the Russian defense department and is trying in every possible way to disable it,” notes Hero of Russia Alexander Nikishin.
Political scientist Denis Denisov agrees with him.
“There is an unprecedented information confrontation, an information war, in which most countries of the consolidated West, Ukraine, are involved.
If we consider all these events from a professional point of view, from the point of view of the sciences of communications, information and psychological influence, propaganda, then it becomes completely obvious and understandable that this entire flow of information associated with the creation of fakes, forgery of news, information that is associated with a special military operation is a systematic, purposeful work against the Russian Federation, to demonize the leadership of Russia.
In this concept, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation acts as one of the key figures, since he is responsible for this first phase of the special operation, which is related specifically to the military component.”
Military expert, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko explains what Russia can do in the information war.
“These fakes are aimed at the average person with a low critical level of information perception. But there is an information war going on, there is no need to be surprised. It exists and is underway. The answer lies in competent planning and establishing your position, bringing it to the opposing side. We are doing everything right and without these attacks, this indicates absolutely nothing, this is nothing more than an episode of a large-scale information war,” Korotchenko said.
