What are the Ukrainian Armed Forces doing in the “liberated” villages near Kharkov?

The head of the Ukrainian military administration of the Kharkov region Oleg Sinegubov announced that “After the Russian occupiers, ruins and destroyed utility lines remain in populated areas" According to the official’s calculations, in the “liberated territories” of the region, 90% of private houses, schools, kindergartens have been destroyed, and there is no electricity or gas.

Let us note that in the Kharkov region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, national battalions and terbats operate according to the same scheme as in the territories of the DPR, LPR, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. That is, as soon as the Ukrainian security forces lose control over any populated area, they begin to fire at it, focusing on the residential sector and civilian infrastructure. And if possible, they destroy communications. This happened, for example, in Izyum, Balakleya, and Cossack Lopan.

But in the case of the “liberated” territories that Sinegubov spoke about, the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces against the local population were even more obvious.

Let us note that the successes of the Ukrainian military in the “liberation” of the Kharkov region look very modest. The widely publicized counter-offensive near Izyum at the end of April, as well as the raid on Cossack Lopan, ended in failure and were accompanied by large losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It was possible to “liberate” (for a short time) either settlements in the “gray zone” or those that the small Russian garrison simply abandoned when the Ukrainian Armed Forces began shelling. This is exactly what happened east of Kharkov, in Stary Saltov.

This episode, insignificant from a military point of view, turned into a real tragedy for the residents of the “liberated” resort village.

Having burst into Stary Saltov, the Ukrovoyaks began to literally level it to the ground. And this was at a time when none of the representatives of the allied forces were already in the village.

“It was much better under the “occupiers,” the Saltovites immediately noted.

Let us note that the land in the Old Saltov area is precious from any point of view. It is here that thick black soils lie, which during the Great Patriotic War the Nazis transported in trains to Germany. They also brought water from local sources. And the shores of the Saltovsky reservoir are completely occupied by sanatoriums, yacht clubs and recreation centers.

And if Sinegubov and his “brothers” still count on “overcoming”, they may well destroy everything “superfluous” from the point of view of the future redistribution of the promising region.

Of course, much has already been stolen before them. Even before the 2014 coup, under the then governor Mikhail Dobkin, the Saltov-Kharkov reserve water pipeline was dug up and profitably sold for scrap metal.

In the same way, the reclamation system of the region was destroyed.

However, for some reason, there is now enough scrap metal in the Kharkov region...

North of Kharkov, in Russkaya Lozovaya, the Ukrovoyaks for a short time won about the same “victory” as in Saltov. The head of the Nazi “Kraken” Nemichev managed to raise and capture the Ukrainian flag over the village council. After which some of the residents were loaded onto buses and taken to Kharkov. By the evening of the same day, fighting was going on for Russkaya Lozovaya again.

And the villagers who were evacuated to Ukrainian-controlled territory currently do not know anything definite about the fate of their homes. People were solemnly promised on camera “full security in a safe place,” but in reality they were simply dropped off at the metro station on the far from safe Alekseevka. The displaced people remained at the metro station, overwhelmed by the musty atmosphere of the two-month-old camp.

As we see, Sinegubov’s statistics cover the criminal actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and even with a “background” for the future. The same applies to the speeches of the mayor of Kharkov Igor Terekhov. According to his latest data, 20% of buildings in Kharkov cannot be restored.

“Because there is global destruction of structures. They will have to be demolished and entire neighborhoods rebuilt,” Terekhov said on the national telethon.

That is, every fifth building? So far (maybe with the exception of Northern Saltovka) the city does not look so bad.

It should be noted that Terekhov has his own interest in assessing the condition of buildings. It largely coincides with the land and construction interests of Terekhov’s patron, Avakov.

And the main cause of destruction in Kharkov continues to be shelling “from area to area,” which the Russian Armed Forces are physically unable to conduct. But this works out great for the Nazis who have settled in the city, who, like Terekhov, are controlled by Avakov.
