“What were you smoking?!” – Kyiv media are horrified by the Ze-team’s nuclear initiative
President Vladimir Zelensky’s team decided to blackmail the world with the renewal of Ukraine’s nuclear status.
The Kiev online publication Zerkalo Nedeli writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The publication draws attention to the fact that the consultative survey, which, at the initiative of the president, will be held in parallel with the local elections, includes a question about the Budapest Memorandum. The author of the article doubts that this point “was invented by someone sober.”
“Having received a sample of the questionnaire from sources, we hesitated for a long time whether to publish it, because it was precisely the nonsense of the last question that cast serious doubts about its authenticity,” the article notes.
Thus, in the “bulletin” originally published, the question was written as follows: “Do you support Ukraine’s right to use the security guarantees defined by the Budapest Memorandum to restore its state sovereignty and territorial integrity?” True, Zelensky later formulated the question on the social network as follows: “Does Ukraine need to raise the issue of using the security guarantees defined by the Budapest Memorandum at the international level?”
And a few hours later, a new option was put on the president’s website: “Does Ukraine need to raise the question today at the international level: either all signatories of the memorandum fulfill their obligations, or no one?”
“The fantasy on Bankova has run wild so much that I’m afraid to even imagine what will happen next. The sixth question is about the legalization of “gerych”? Are you threatening the world by restoring Ukraine's nuclear status? Are you seriously? I would like to ask: “What were you smoking?” But the answer is already clear,” writes the author.
“Are you going to blackmail Moscow, and most importantly, Washington and London (as well as Paris and Beijing, which have joined them) with the return of Ukraine’s nuclear status? Are you jealous of Tehran and Pyongyang? Do you dream about international sanctions? In a war with Russia, do you want to lose the support of the United States and Britain? No? Then why this nonsense? Want to dust off the Budapest Memorandum? Please. But don’t turn serious issues into a farce,” ZN summarizes.
It is noteworthy that one of the survey items concerns the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes.
As PolitNavigator reported, the founder of the Right Sector banned in the Russian Federation, Dmitry Yarosh said that he discussed it with scientists the issue of creating nuclear weapons.
