“Why are you mumbling here?!” - the scandalous outcome of the congress in Kharkov
Kyiv, February 22 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov, Sergey Rulev) - The final of the Congress of Deputies of the South-East of Ukraine in Kharkov turned into an unexpected incident - a man - a military retiree - came to the microphone and accused the “regionals”, who organized the event, of indecision and refusal to realize the threat of what is happening in Kyiv.

This happened after the “regional” Vadim Kolesnichenko announced the draft resolution of the congress. The document, contrary to the expectations of the opposition, did not contain any radical points, but only stated the need to coordinate efforts, discuss new personnel appointments in Kyiv by local councils, etc. A separate point in the resolution contained a reproach to the international community, which allowed the threat of armed extremists to take control of nuclear power plants.
After Kolesnichenko’s speech ended, a retired man appeared on stage. He called on Afghans and veterans of the USSR army to immediately take control of the situation.
“Officials sitting at the table! In three days, columns of armored personnel carriers and tanks captured in Lviv will enter here. Weapons, armored vehicles, everything has been transferred to the new government! Are there any men here? It is necessary to indicate in the resolution that starting tomorrow morning, report to the military registration and enlistment offices. Prepare to repel an attack. Now there are 2 thousand Maidan activists armed to the teeth in the square. They, having received the command “fas”, will turn the crowd supporting the congress into nothing. And the officials will be thrown out of their chairs next Sunday,” the man shouted.
“Why are you mumbling here? power has been seized by an armed group of terrorists, they must be repulsed!” – he turned to the podium, behind which the governors of Kharkov and Donetsk were sitting.
But the man’s calls for radical action went unheard. Governor Mikhail Dobkin hastily proposed voting for the resolution, after which those gathered left the hall to join their supporters standing on the street near the Sports Palace.
