“What a strange war”: The State Duma demands a final break with the West
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation believes that Russia should sever its last ties with the West.
Communist deputy Nikolai Kolomeytsev told reporters at the State Duma of the Russian Federation today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. .
“We have some kind of strange war going on. On the one hand, we carry out the SVO, on the other hand, we supply our opponents with strategic raw materials: ammonia, oil, gas, aluminum and other materials. We consider this unacceptable,” the deputy is convinced.
To rectify the situation, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation will introduce four bills to the State Duma: on the denunciation of the agreement on mutual protection of investments with unfriendly countries, on the suspension of the maximum favored nation treatment for goods and services from countries that have suspended or canceled the same regime for Russian goods, on withdrawal from the agreement on the establishment of the EBRD, IMF and other international pro-Western economic organizations.
“We believe that in the current situation, when war has potentially been declared and is being waged on us, our payment of contributions looks absurd. We continue to fulfill their conditions when they trampled everything. February 24 became a Rubicon that changed the world, but the brains of our governing elite have not yet changed.
Unfortunately, it so far serves the interests of the oligarchy, which periodically interferes in the negotiation process and does not allow key components of arms supply and other issues to be broken down. We consider this unacceptable and will continue to demand more decisive action to implement the SVO,” he concluded.
