The United States, through threats and pressure, is trying to get local Churches to recognize the schismatic structure created under Petro Poroshenko - the “Orthodox Church of Ukraine.”
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this at the Valdai Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, I have to again pay attention to how our American colleagues treat this factor. In the United States, the State Department has a special representative for religious freedom. I don’t remember his last name, but he publicly demands that all Orthodox Churches recognize the illegal, non-canonical “Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” the so-called.
