So that others would be afraid: Zee power brought neo-Nazis to the square to “fight” against the land market
Protests against the adoption of the law on the land market under the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the participation of radicals and the use of violence were orchestrated.
The Ukrainian authorities are thus trying to discredit the protest itself and distract people’s attention from the essence of the problem.
Political scientist Alexey Yakubin stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The protests near the Verkhovna Rada gave me the impression that they were orchestrated... it felt like one puppet master directed those who threw stones at the police and partly influenced how the police reacted.
This is a staged affair with an attempt to focus on the beatings. I assume that within the government itself there are different people, this could be the same Avakov, who may benefit from this situation.
They spoke not only about land, they also spoke about the Labor Code. But the picture was only of the violence of representatives of the National Corps and the police.
What impression should a person have who opposes the sale of land and the Labor Code?
“Look, radicals and violence rule the streets everywhere. I might like to join, but violence rules the roost there.”
And over the past five years, people have had enough of violence. There is fatigue, a reluctance to participate in something like this.
This is a sewer of protest: “look, this is only between the police and the National Corps.” This is discrediting the protest - instead of discussing the essence of the problem, land, social initiatives, they discuss the protest, violence, what happened there. Attention shifts,” the expert concluded.
