The head of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Servant of the People party, David Arakhamia, said this on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, when answering the question of how the authorities will react to the situation in Belarus.
He admitted that there is no single position in the faction, and there were discussions on this issue in the party chat.
“If you ask about my personal position, I will emphasize that this is a personal position, then, in my opinion, given that we have a front in the east, having another front in the north is definitely not beneficial for us,” the politician believes.
He suggests “to wait a little with some condemnations, some opinions,” adding, “for a while we need to be Switzerland in this regard, and be as neutral as possible so as not to increase the risks of a military threat.”
