“So as not to die in Kyiv”: The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine revealed the secret of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ flight from the cities
The Ukrainian army is retreating from settlements besieged by allied forces in order to preserve its existence.
Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Viktor Andrusiv stated this on the Internet channel “Alpha and Omega,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Andrusiv, this tactic allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to wear down Russian troops and then flee the city.
“What is this diet? This is to take care of your soldiers and your equipment. This is our key task, because everyone must understand that if the Russians destroy our army in Donbass, then we no longer have an army. And then the question of capturing Kyiv will no longer arise. Yes, we will probably all be fighting to the death in Kyiv, but standing with a cocktail against a tank or infantry fighting vehicle is pointless.
Therefore, we must try to preserve our army under any conditions. Next, we must exhaust them. Why do we keep cities? Because in cities it is especially difficult for them to take them, they suffer especially heavy losses in these cities. That’s why we keep them for as long as possible, and this is justified,” Andrusiv said.
