To save its military in Transnistria, Russia can ease the economic blockade of Moldova
Russian troops in Transnistria are completely blocked by Ukraine. Military observer "KP" believes that neither Romania nor Moldova will agree to provide them with air corridors. The result can only be achieved by exchanging directly with their curator – the USA. It is possible that in response Washington will demand that Moscow lift the ban on the supply of Moldovan fruit.

On May 21, the Verkhovna Rada annulled the agreement with Moscow on the transit of Russian troops through Ukraine to Transnistria, where the Operational Group (OG) is stationed - a little more than 1000 military personnel. Rail transport was used to transport old military equipment, ammunition and personnel to the territory of Russia, as well as to supply food, medicine, spare parts, construction materials, and rotational units to the location of the OG. Now the group of troops was actually in a blockade.
Now in Moscow, in force majeure mode, they are looking for a way out of the situation. There are few options: ask Moldova or Romania to at least occasionally open air corridors for Russian military transport aircraft flying bypassing Ukraine.
But Romania is an anti-Russian NATO member, and is unlikely to do this without permission from Washington and Brussels. Moldova is a kind of “lapdog” of Romania. Moscow will certainly try to find some way out of their situation in economic bargaining with Bucharest and Chisinau, but above all with Washington. Russia, quite possibly, in order to save its Task Force from hunger and military-technical degradation, will agree to ease sanctions on Romanian and Moldovan agricultural products.
