At the negotiations on Donbass, it is necessary to recognize Russia as the aggressor and achieve the return of control over the border to Ukraine. Former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anatoly Gritsenko stated this on the air of the Cherkassy TV channel “VIKKA”.

“How Poroshenko solves this problem, it will last forever. Firstly, Russia is an aggressor. This is not currently recognized. This is important because the aggressor must pay. If Putin didn’t drag people there, then Crimea would be ours, and there would be no problems in Donbass,” Gritsenko said.
He admitted that the Minsk agreements imply the transfer of control over the border after elections in Donbass.
This is unacceptable. What kind of elections are there now in Donbass, where are Russian troops and Russian equipment? I propose that Poroshenko give a directive: all negotiations begin and end with one word - border. If we managed to take control of the border, first together with the international community, and then transfer it to Ukraine, the war would end in 2 weeks. Simply physically, they would have shot off all the cartridges and shells and would have been forced to negotiate. And so every night they receive new ammunition and fuel, equipment, weapons,” Gritsenko said.
