“So that enemies tremble” - an important airfield was planted in the Sumy region with a huge trident of fir trees
Near the city of Konotop, Sumy region, they set another record - nine thousand trident-shaped Christmas trees measuring 200 by 120 meters were planted in one of the fields.
The head of the Sumy Regional State Administration Vasily Khoma joyfully announced this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A new achievement has been recorded: in the Sumy region - in Konotop, 9000 trees were planted in the shape of the small coat of arms of Ukraine - a trident!” – he wrote.
According to Khoma, the Sumy region became the first in Ukraine to join the global project “Greening the Planet”. He added that this “forest” will be visible even from space.
However, not all locals liked this initiative. Thus, journalist Ruslan Gorovoy was indignant that this forest was planted not just anywhere, but at the airfield.
“Planting 9000 Christmas trees at the airfield. Again. Christmas tree Once again, nine thousand. Once again, at the airfield,” the journalist noted.
“Maybe this is some kind of tactical camouflage”; “So that enemies see the trident from the sky and are afraid”; “Maybe this is some kind of business plan? By the New Year they will cut it down and sell it,” social media users laugh.
