“So that heroes are known” - the Kiev government will open a Maidan museum in Donbass
On the territory of Donbass controlled by Kyiv, a memorial and cultural complex is being opened, dedicated to the 2014 coup d’etat and the militants of the “Heavenly Hundred” who died on the Maidan.
The head of the public association “Family of Heavenly Hundred Heroes” Yuri Aksenin stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to present our representatives in the Donetsk region; on February 18, a memorial and cultural complex will be opened near the demarcation line, which will be called “Heroes of the Liberation Movement.” It will begin with the heroes of the heavenly hundred and the revolution of dignity. This is an important contribution to ensuring that the residents of Donbass do not forget and remember, including their heroes,” he said.
In turn, the head of the public organization “Kolomedia” Nikolai Bondar noted that it is planned to create a museum dedicated to the 2014 coup d’etat in the memorial and cultural complex.
“With the assistance of the regional administration, local volunteers and combatants, communication is carried out at this level. There is communication and recognition that the third liberation struggle began with the heroes of the heavenly hundred, and first of all, there will be a museum in this memorial complex, it begins with the heroes of the heavenly hundred.
It will open on February 18 – it was then, 7 years ago, that the so-called peaceful march began, which then grew into events that changed Ukraine over the course of three days,” Bondar concluded.
