Chubais, goodbye! Mishustin covers the feeding troughs of systemic liberals
The so-called “development institutions” in Russia will be optimized. Of the current 40, 5 large ones will remain. Most of them will go to VEB, some will be merged, eight of them will be liquidated.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhil Mishustin stated this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today there are 40 of them. All of them were created to solve specific problems. They were required to take certain actions, which at one time produced significant results. But in recent years, new challenges have emerged that require significant adjustments to their work. Our analysis showed that the activities of these institutions are poorly linked to the new national development goals,” Mishustin said.
The SME Corporation, the Russian Export Center, EXIAR, Rusnano and four funds (Skolkovo, the Fund for Assistance to the Development of Small Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere, the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs and the Industrial Development Fund) will come under the management of VEB RF. Some of the functions of eight more development institutions will be redistributed between VEB.RF and federal executive authorities. The development institutions themselves will be liquidated
“To understand what Prime Minister Mishustin has stirred up today, look at the names of those who headed the Development Institutes. I’ll just say one thing: this is the second large-scale wave of nationalization of the elites in Russia and the nullification of dozens of elite agreements.
Many are deprived of their status, their source of wealth, and are subject to investigation. Everyone knows only Chubais, but this is a smokescreen; the key figures in future criminal cases are completely different,” political scientist Marat Bashirov commented on the event in his Telegram channel.
“The legendary Anatoly Chubais is really leaving for another job or, at most, for retirement. (The first meaning may not contradict the second). “Rusnano” is actually transferred to the management of VEB. RF,” wrote liberal political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky. He clarified that such a “retirement” job for Chubais could be overseeing Arctic projects, which has already been rumored.
“Skolkovo is being taken away from Medvedev. The fund will be transferred to VEB. This is a very serious blow to the financial structure of the ex-president’s group,” says another political scientist Ilya Grashchenkov.
