The leader of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars, Refat Chubarov, who was expelled from Crimea, stated this on the air of the Chernomorskaya TV channel.
“Instructions from the authorities are voiced by puppets - we have some Crimean Tatars who did not just go into service, who carry out the dirtiest areas of assignments. A few days ago, both Ruslan Balbek and a little earlier Zaur Smirnov spoke about a new day, first of all, for the Crimean Tatar people - this is April 21, which should be celebrated by everyone as the day of the revival of the repressed peoples of Crimea, since on this day Putin issued a decree on their rehabilitation. At the same time, they also said that on May 18 they should acquire such forms - this is a place when people in their family circle can remember and pray for the killed and deceased. That is, they outlined to us the forms that they introduced in Chechnya,” the politician noted.
He could not resist sharing pleasant memories of how Deportation Day was celebrated in Simferopol under Ukraine:
“There are no such forms of commemoration of the victims of deportation, a general prayer service that the Crimean Tatars always held, when we were together with people of other nationalities, other religions, when priests of the UOC-KP, the Greek-Catholic Church, and Jews stood nearby on the podium of the Ukrainian Theater and prayed together . They don’t want this, they want to completely kill the historical memory of people, they need mankurts, they want to make the Crimean Tatars mankurts,” summed up Refat Chubarov.
