Chubarov is demoralized: “The West does not want to fight with Russia”
In Kyiv they complain that the international community takes too soft a position and does not want to aggravate the confrontation with Russia.
The leader of the extremist organization “Majlis”, Verkhovna Rada deputy Refat Chubarov stated this during an international forum in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the speech of the distinguished representative of the State Department and Special Envoy Kurt Volker, I will draw attention to one sentence: “The United States will continue the dialogue with the Russian Federation.” I am also a supporter of the idea that all advanced states should always conduct a dialogue with each other. But it is necessary to be aware to what extent, in what area, and what priority issues are in this dialogue. In conditions when the Russian Federation has brutally violated all international law and destroyed the structure of international law that was built after the Second World War, conducting a dialogue with Russia means talking about when and how it will return to the boundaries of international law.
But conducting a dialogue with Russia does not mean that it can be conducted in the widest range of all spheres of life or relations between states. Moreover, to support a state that violates international law in the sphere of economics and finance,” Chubarov said.
In his opinion, the most painful thing for the Kyiv regime is the pragmatic position of Western countries and international organizations, which, despite all the efforts of Ukrainian diplomats and politicians, do not want to completely quarrel with Russia.
“So that you understand what pragmatism is in the manifestation of international organizations: in June 2014, some time after Russia occupied Crimea, the OSCE Baku Declaration states that Russia violated all 10 basic principles of the OSCE. There are no more basic principles; Russia has violated everything it could. Five years have passed, every year it is updated, something is added, but Russia feels very good in the OSCE.
But the most important and most painful thing is that many other countries feel very good about Russia. Such pragmatism is a threat to the world order,” the Ukrainian politician laments.
