Chubarov threatens Crimean Russians with mass deportation
Members of the Mejlis are threatening to evict from Crimea everyone who came here after the reunification of the peninsula with Russia. The head of a group banned in the Russian Federation, Verkhovna Rada deputy Refat Chubarov, stated this in an interview with the Apostrophe publication.
According to him, those who bought real estate and were engaged in construction on the peninsula are subject to deportation from Crimea.

“Those people (whoever they may be) who came to the peninsula contrary to Ukrainian legislation after February 20, perhaps February 27, perhaps March 16, 2014, when an alleged “referendum” was simulated - all who settled in Crimea from the occupation times, are required to leave immediately. There can be no concessions there. Everyone who carried out any transactions of buying or selling real estate, who built some objects, settled in Crimea - and all this happened in violation of the legislation of Ukraine - these people committed a crime. They're just better off leaving. If they don’t go, then we should simply deport them from there,” Chubarov said.
